However, setup on a computer, to view the streaming content in a browser is perhaps untellable given that browsers such as chrome and firefox don't support the plugins that are required anymore considering they are obsolete. Review by hodapper Price Quality Easy setup, and paired with Blue Iris these cameras are the easiest security cameras you can install. Each camera's set up was well-nigh 1 minute. It took longer to find each cameras ultimate spot to set it and we were up and running. The iphone app is amazing, I no networking expert so this was so simple to use. I now have 6 Foscams as my video survellance at my home. I own two FI9826 cameras, and one 9810 but I plane though these are not PTZ the clarity is wondrous quality in the video. However, it is a variegated story when setting up on my laptop. I used the CD that came with the box for installation but unfortunately it did not work properly. The software is unable to snift the camera. I have purchased the item for over a month now, downloaded all the software misogynist from their website and still unable to view drom my computer or havw the footage recoreded to my harddrive. So minus 2 stars (Posted on 6/29/15) Very nice with 2 concerns Review by Rich W Price Quality I hooked up 2 C1s and they're very good cameras. For most applications you don't plane need a PTZ. It is powered by USB so you cam run the subscription overdue the wall safely. Two big concerns. 1. The LED lights are visible at midnight. They have a soft red glow. Think twice surpassing using this in a toddlers room. It looks like a very scary eye. This is moreover true with the 9821. 2. The firmware is lacking in the viewing options department. There is no way to limit unrepealable users by time. for instance, if I want to restrict my nanny from viewing the camera during the day, I can't set a Days and times where her worth is active. I have to limit her wangle to work only on our local wifi. It would be nice if she could use her phone 4G as a when up. My Cisco Linksys cams have day and time controls. (Posted on 6/18/15) Not Bad, promising Review by Aardvark Price Quality I kind of like this and plan on seeing where this model goes as Foscam develops new items. I am not sure of the USB power string as to the reason for it, unless it can be used as a camera for a computer. I did find I had trouble with setting up the remote access. I found that with port forwarding, you have to forward the IP write and for the same IP write add port 554. Then everything works. That isn't mentioned in the instructions that come with it. I gave it 4 stars considering of that omission. The camera itself is everything advertised, I like the wide field of view it has without the fisheye distortion one would think. The image is unexceptionable and clear. Definitely a winner here. Again, As Foscam phases out some of its non-PTZ cameras, I am eager to see what is next. I was unable to join my WiFi network (WPA2) which has spaces and special characters. Once I set up a separate WiFi network SSID with no spaces, the camera unfluctuating w no issues. If this was fixed, I would have given it 5 stars for quality.
