The first part of the set-up went well. I downloaded the self-ruling Foscam Viewer app. I scanned the lawmaking on the marrow of the cam. I was worldly-wise to see and tenancy the camera with the ethernet subscription connected. I don't have a WPS uniform router. The set-up guide referred me to the transmission for wireless set-up. It seemed like this part of the transmission was copied from the old transmission set-ups for the non-plug and play models. Instead, I went when to the Foscam Viewer app. It is supposed to be worldly-wise to scan for wireless networks. That didn't snift anything, but it unliable me to enter my network information manually. That worked fine. You will need to know your ssid, encryption type, and key. I had one issue with the computer vendee software. I had a little trouble understanding the correct procedure for waffly username and password. I never knew if it wonted my changes until I exited the program and re-entered. I only subtracted one star for the few small issues I had. Perhaps some of it was just me. I got past all of it without calling support. The image quality is excellent. Overall, I am pleased with the performance of this product. You can set it up for motion detection and email alerts. I used the optional 7pc. mount to nail the camera to my ceiling. I used the optional 10 ft. DC power extension subscription to reach an outlet once mounted in the scalp for an outdoor security cam. Using my smartphone, I can scan the living room, squint lanugo the hallway, and see into my kitchen towards the range and microwave. I would love to see a plug and play outdoor cam that is uniform with the same app and software.
